Inaugural Speech by Dr Rajiv Modi, CMD, Cadila Pharmaceuticals at ICAI 2013

Dr Rajiv Modi, CMD of one of the largest privately held multinational companies – Cadila Pharmaceuticals , presents the inaugural speech at ICAI – Gujarat ,2013. He narrates how he was influenced by his visionary father late Dr Indravadan Modi, founder of Cadila Pharmaceuticals, to start working towards bringing affordable medicines to everyone and since then there has been no looking back. Today, he is proud to be a part of an event like ICAI which resonates with Cadila’s core belief of supporting innovations. Dr Modi says that “Innovation is fundamental for the future of the developing society and only when there is a confluence , like-minded-ness of policymakers, government, society , industry and investors that we can nurture innovations. Innovations have to be planned and designed. As India develops and becomes a part of the global economy, events like these will help encourage innovation. These innovations and technological breakthroughs will ultimately lead India to being a more sustainable and developed economy in the future.
