Cadila in Association with AICTE Promotes Young Talent

November 14, Delhi: The results of the eighth edition of Confederation of Indian Industry’s annual survey of industry linkages of technical institutions, in partnership with the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), were announced on the second day of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Education Summit in New Delhi on November 14. Total 10 awards were given in nine categories including pharmacy which was supported by Cadila Pharmaceuticals.

The Best Industry Linked Pharmaceutical Institute award was instituted by Cadila Pharma Chairman Dr Rajiv Modi in the memory of his father Late Indravadan A. Modi in 2014. The award was won, for the first time, by Dr D. Y. Patil Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research.

The AICTE-CII Survey for Industry-Linked Technical Institutes maps industry linkages of Indian technical institutes in four broad streams – Engineering, Management, Architecture and Pharmacy. All degree and diploma granting institutes in the above fields can apply for the survey. The institutes are judged on the basis of the parameters such live projects completed, research projects taken, number of start-ups incubated and relationships with the industry including placements.

Cadila Pharmaceuticals sponsors the award to build relationships with the college to get the best pool of talent and encourage students to work on joint research projects. This survey also helps identify skill gap in the education and the requirement of the industry. Based on the findings the organizations and the CII launch various programs to help prepare students to join the workforce.
