Cadila’s Calcirol wins WorldStar Packaging Award

5^th December, 2018: Cadila Pharmaceuticals’ Calcirol Softgels won WorldStar Packaging Award for its unique and innovative packaging.

The packaging team’s path breaking work for developing a cold sealed wallet pack for Calcirol Softgels has earned the much needed laurels. Calcirol Softgels’ innovative packaging came into existence because the team wanted the packaging to be attractive, safe for children and crush proof during transit. So the team came up with a pack that could have eight pieces per pack over four pieces of plain blister strips. These blisters are placed in a mono carton. The pack is pilfer/tamper proof, more aesthetic, has bigger display panel for information, customer friendly and safe for children.

On the achievement, Mr. Atul, GM – Packaging Development, shared “We are proud of the pack that we have created. It took us a lot of hard work but finally we were successful in bringing out a unique pack.” Mr Atul was also invited as a speaker for a panel discussion on ‘Trends and Advancements in Pharma Packaging’ during the Pharma Packaging and Labeling Conclave organized by Express Pharma. Mr Atul also won the PPL Leadership Award 2019 in the ‘Leaders Category’ for his outstanding work in pharma packaging at the Pharma Packaging & Labelling (PPL) Conclave 2019. Calcirol Softgels has previously won the CPhI UBM Innopack 2017, India Star 2017, Asia Star 2017 and World Star Award.
