Born in a quiet village of Bharuch, Indravadan Ambalal Modi, I.A. Modi, is fondly known as the ‘Medicine Man of India’. At just 25, I.A. Modi cycled 40 km daily to reach doctors, taking on every role himself, fueled by a dream to make medicines affordable.

With the first factory at Ghodasar, Cadila began turning its vision into reality, setting the stage for innovation and growth.

Long before CSR became a mandate, I.A. Modi founded Kaka-Ba Hospital as a heartfelt tribute to his cousin Budh, who lost his life to typhoid for lack of medical care. Today, the hospital provides multi-speciality, free healthcare to thousands in need.

Cadila Pharma strengthened its manufacturing footprint with state-of-the-art facilities in Dholka, Samba, and Ankleshwar, scaling production while keeping patient care at the core.

We extended our vision of wellness by diversifying into engineering, veterinary solutions, travel, tissue culture, and vaccines, creating a broader impact across industries.
